ABSTRACT

Since its inception, RET has become an influential force as a therapeutic system. It is practised throughout the world and its founder, Albert Ellis is recognized as one of the world’s leading contributors to the field of psychotherapy. There is no doubt that much has been achieved since RET was first developed in 1955. However, has RET been adequately investigated? I will argue that it has not and will offer some reflections on the need for better research on RET.
