ABSTRACT

This chapter begins by looking at the tools needed for the finishing touch of the photography. The Split Toning Panel can be used in many different ways. Historically split toning is a darkroom technique that involves using different chemicals to independently tint the highlights or shadows of a print. There are three sections to the Split Toning Panel. At the top there are the Highlights sliders; in the middle is the Balance slider, and on the bottom there are the Shadows sliders. The Split Toning Panel isn't the finest tool one can use for finding the right color. To affect specific areas of an image, one can also use localized correction tools such as the Graduated Filter, Radial Filter, and the Adjustment Brush. In the Color section of the Lens Correction Panel, there is an Eyedropper tool and a set of sliders to Defringe your image.
