ABSTRACT
I learned this intervention from Art, one of my first supervisors in marriage and family therapy. He had learned it from his supervisor of supervision, Bruce, and it seems to be one of those things that sticks with both of us. I recently talked with Art about this intervention, to verify my recollection of its origin. We had a good chuckle over several stories each of us had about the intervention and different ways we each had modified it.
