ABSTRACT
During 1932, Adolf Hitler attempted to cultivate support from leading figures in German industry. This chapter provides a part of the text of Hitler's important speech to the German Industry Club in Dusseldorf on 27 January 1932. Take the case of a fortress, imagine that it is reduced to extreme privations; as long as the garrison sees a possible salvation, believes in it, hopes for it, then they can bear reduced ration. However, take from the hearts of men their last belief in the hope of salvation, in a better future take that completely from them, and you will see how these men suddenly regard reduced rations as the most important thing in life. Hitler founded thirteen years ago the National Socialist movement; that movement he have led during the last twelve years and he hope that one day it will accomplish this task.
