ABSTRACT

The Central Jersey Ariel Libraries Network (CJALN) began as a pilot project of the Central Jersey Regional Library Cooperative (CJRLC) on November 1, 1996 with three active participants: The College of New Jersey, Princeton Public Library and Monmouth University. Two years later, there are ten member libraries and plans for more growth. This article documents the experience of this library consortium's successful implementation of an Ariel network among its members. Highlights of the group's success includes the CJALN Web site at https://www.tcnj.edu/~access/cjalncom.html and a table of “Strategies for Effective Users Group Meetings.” [Article copies available for a fee from The Haworth Document Delivery Service: 1-800-342-9678.
