ABSTRACT
Continuing with the topic of IEL compliance in context, Chapter 4 focusses on actors, identifying ‘traditional actors’ and ‘strategic players’ alongside several new and emerging actors. A substantial part of this chapter is devoted to the study of regional organisations and the role they play in securing, promoting, and monitoring IEL compliance. Transnational regulations and networks tasked with compliance functions are also examined.
