ABSTRACT
This chapter takes us into the world of the newsroom and how news is made. It details all the pressures and forces which shape reporting, including huge cuts to newsroom staff, editorial lines imposed from outside upon journalists and the reliance of news organizations on local Venezuelan journalists who are highly adversarial to the government.
