ABSTRACT
There are many differing theories that are debated by scholars within the field of environmental conflict and on the cooperative side of it. Disputes in the field are widely dispersed among many differing disciplines, yet there are some basic assumptions that scientists from both the natural and political worlds can agree on. These assumptions are largely built on recognizing certain structural process that will follow according to the type of case at hand.
