ABSTRACT

This chapter presents extracts from general report on Public Instruction in the Lower Provinces of the Bengal Presidency, 1844–45. The report includes extracts from prose, poetry, and literature questions related to the prose and poetry, as well as answers delivered by the successful candidates of the Hindoo College. It presents an essay on the infinity of the natural productions of the Universe, and the effects resulting from science as applied to those productions. The report also includes revised and amended rules and regulations for the medical college.
