ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the argument, theoretical framework, and methodology of the book. More notably, the first section presents the analytical focus and argument of the study. Sections two and three illustrate the theoretical model on which the investigation is based. The book adopts a relational-strategic approach to assess the impact of student mobilizations within the university context, conceived as the result of the strategic interaction between challengers (students) and challenged (university leaders). Section four presents and discusses the typology of university impact on which the study is based. Section five reformulates the research question and introduces the main expectations of the study. Section six presents the case selection and methodology. The seventh and final section illustrates and summarizes the main points of the present chapter.
