ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the authors present a case study for the expansion and consolidation of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) in Aalto University School of Business, Finland. They provide an overview of the challenge(s) faced in relation to mainstreaming responsible management, an explanation of the actions taken in relation to the challenge(s), information about the results and benefits of the actions taken, and some points regarding the role of PRME/sustainability principles to carry out the activity. The authors approach sustainability-related education through two lenses at the Aalto University School of Business. On the one hand, they train sustainability specialists in our master’s programmes Management and Creative Sustainability. On the other hand, they aim at improving the ‘sustainability literacy’ of all business students, because the lack of knowledge of other managers in companies is one of the major challenges of present-day corporate responsibility officers in business.
