ABSTRACT
The Actor devotes much energy and attention to " staging" or " performing" in ways designed to make impressions on other people which are not always honest or true. His major motivational impetus is manipulation of others for the benefit of his own goals and gratification. This manipulation can take many forms: conning, gaming, hustling, lying, or trying to gain a primitive form of approval (attention) by being a clown or show-off.
