ABSTRACT

You interact with students in a variety of settings and in a variety of capacities. You may see students in the lecture hall, student laboratory, small classroom or in your office. You serve as a purveyor of information, as a facilitator, or as an individual tutor. Many instructors view each of these settings and roles as different from one another. However, if your job is to help the learner to learn, the same governing philosophy should guide your interaction with students regardless of the specific setting in which the interaction occurs.
