Post sync recording

As discussed in earlier chapters, most mixes will contain elements of studio-based recordings, such as ADR, foley and voice-over. With the exception of voice-over, such recordings should ideally be recorded in a similar acoustic environment to that of the original scene so as to be indistinguishable from the production sound. As this is generally not practicable, techniques need to be employed which ensure that the recording is of a quality that enables the mixer to recreate the appropriate acoustic in the mix using eq and artificial reverbs.
