Developing intuitive awareness

ByMegan Reitz

I have noticed that many articles and books on intuition quote Einstein at some point or another. So for good measure; Einstein reflecting on the way in which he developed his theories explained that ‘ there are no logical paths to these [natural] laws … only intuition resting on sympathetic understanding of experience can reach them ’ ( Rowan, 1987 ). Because intuition has, generally speaking, been regarded as both different from, and then marginal to the rational mind, quotes from such highly respected scientific individuals are deemed necessary to rationalize the focus on intuition. This, when you think about it, is rather ironic.
