ABSTRACT
In addition to the host of studies on its efficacy in bipolar disorders and unipolar depression, lithium has also been examined as a medication for other psychotic disorders. Its wellestablished mood-stabilizing properties suggested lithium as a treatment for schizoaffective disorder (SAD), but lithium has also been used in schizophrenia, in particular for treatment-resistant patients.
