ABSTRACT
The key pharmacological action of bisphosphonates in clinical use is inhibition of bone resorption. The mechanism of action of BPs has not been fully elucidated, and could differ among BPs. Since this is not the subject of this chapter, it is suggested that the reader refers to a very recent review10.
