ABSTRACT
The law which governs care homes in the UK changed in 2001. All care homes are now under the jurisdiction of the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI), who work to the Care Standards Act 2000. This Act has a number of regulations and standards of care which are measured by the NCSC when they inspect the care home twice a year.
