ABSTRACT

Patients of normal weight with firm tissue, stable weight, and localized fat pads

This is the ideal patient. At the preliminary examination, the tissue proves firm at the pinch test and shows good retractability. With stable weight there have been no phases of tissue prestretching. For these patients it is very easy to estimate the quantity of tumescent solution required and thus the extent of the procedure possible at one session. The results can be predicted with a very high level of accuracy and will be highly satisfactory due to the unrestricted tissue retraction with the appropriate operating technique.
