ABSTRACT

THE dynamics of every interview are different. They may be short or long; in a pub, in an airport lounge, in a sauna. They may be friendly or occasionally confrontational. They may be about someone’s sex life or high matters of state. Many interviews are unpredictable. Sometimes an interview can change your life. This happened to Fenner Brockway, the late Labour peer, peace activist and journalist, who was converted to socialism following his interview with Keir Hardie.
