ABSTRACT
This chapter describes variation in the risks or severity of asthma exacerbations related to seasons of the year, global differences in seasonal cycles of asthma, factors that have been associated with them and implications of this information for asthma management and control. We also examine temporal trends in annual cycles of asthma exacerbations and the possible causes of these.
