Instrumentation To allow a safe and atraumatic entrance into the pouch of Douglas, a special needle dilator trocar system (Figure 3.1)
(Karl Storz, Tütlingen, Germany) was developed to allow an easy access. The system consist out of three parts: (a) the springload needle, (b) the dilating sheet, and (c) the outer trocar of 3.5 mm.
