7.1INTRODUCTION

The development of a solvent extraction process from a given aqueous feed solution may be confined by several restraints. For example, the temperature, flow rate, acidity, and so forth may be (essentially) fixed, and the solvent extraction process developed must then be capable of accommodating these restrictions.
