ABSTRACT

The kernel of studying on coal spontaneous combustion is researching coal spontaneous combustion mechanism. Based on the theory of coal–oxygen complex action, the dynamic mathematical model of reaction between coal and oxygen has been set up. By means of the mathematical model, and combined with the experimental data, a series of dynamic parameters of reaction between coal and oxygen in the progress of temperature-rising can be calculated. From the calculating example, it is indicated that the calculating parameters can entirely reflect the features of reaction between coal and oxygen. This method provides a feasible technical approach to explore the mechanism of coal spontaneous combustion and to estimate the fatalness of coal spontaneous combustion.
