ABSTRACT
Introduction Electrophysiological methods record bioelectrical potentials generated by excitable cell membranes. When applied in a clinical setting to recordings from nerves and skeletal muscle these tests are often referred to as clinical neurophysiological investigations. Clinical neurophysiological methods are well-established, and have been used in clinical practice for almost half a century.
