ABSTRACT

Food security depends on an abundance of food, an even distribution, and an ability to purchase food, as well as political stability. Unfortunately, in the world today about 3 billion people are malnourished because of shortages of calories, protein, several vitamins, iron, and iodine (WHO, 2000). People can die because of shortages of anyone of these nutrients. The 3 billion malnourished is the largest number of people ever affected in history.
