ABSTRACT
The Theatre 267 had, in successive years, held Athenian audiences spellbound, and the world had changed, the audience was of mixed race in spite of Hellenic sympathies. It is therefore more than likely that the Gerasenes, like other people of that era, took more interest in comedy.
