Julius Caesar in Krio
WithTHOMAS DECKER
Pages 15

EDITOR'S NOTE: In the last number of the Language Review, we published three poems by the Krio poet Thomas Decker. In addition to original compositions, however, Mr. Decker has also been engaged recently on the translation of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. The excellence of this translation led to its performance at State House, Freetown, in April 1964, to mark the third anniversary of Independence and the quatercentenary of Shakespeare's birth. Decker's translation deserves to be published in full, and it is to be hoped that this will soon prove possible.
