ABSTRACT
The dramatic changes that have affected the world since the end of the Cold War have affected its navies too. This chapter will consider whether such changes constitute a ‘Revolution in Maritime Affairs’ and how such a revolution might affect the role, importance, structure and function of the Royal Navy up to 2020.
