A Validated Approach to Thinking Development for At-Risk Populations

There is a renewed interest among practitioners, policy makers, and researchers in developing the thinking skills of at-risk students. This interest is accelerating because of a growing realization that: (a) the drill and kill approach hasn’t worked, and (b) even if this approach were able to raise basic test scores, that outcome, by itself, is insufficient to prepare students for a more sophisticated world of work.
