Lifelong Learning in the Learning Society of the Twenty-First Century

In previous chapters, we have described new strategies to advance thinking for children and young adults. It is our intent, in this chapter, to emphasize the need for these strategies from a different perspective. I argue that young adults, who have increased their thinking competencies in formal education, can and must continue to develop those capacities throughout their lives.
