ABSTRACT
The human visual system is a product of natural evolution. It is highly advanced. Indeed, to date, no artificial systems have been created whichmatch the abilities of the human visual system. Obviously, it is of considerable interest to learn how the visual system works and how exactly it was created during the course of natural evolution.
