ABSTRACT

Academic journal databases such as GEOBASE, GeoRef, and the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center were used. 42 papers covering 20 countries for geothermal data and 24 papers that covered 14 countries with acid mine drainage data were searched. Two data sets were constructed: (i) for AMD waters and (ii) for geothermal waters. The total was 519 mine water analysis and 921 geothermal waters containing As. The assembled data gave basic data such as pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), anions, major cations, and heavy metals. There were only in a few cases of As III and V species).
