ByAVI KOBER
Pages 18

This chapter examines the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a potential reflection of Fourth Generation Warfare (4GW). 4GW proponents, particularly Thomas Hammes, present the first Palestinian intifada as a phase in the evolution of insurgency in general and 4GW in particular, demonstrating “both networking and emergence as new characteristics of insurgency.”1 According to 4GW rationale, had the Palestinians conducted insurgency along theory lines, we would have witnessed Israeli omnipotence coming to its end.
