ABSTRACT
Endometriosis may produce a variety of different symptoms of varying severity and lesions of variable distribution and extent. With such protean manifestations, there is confusion about how to classify the disease and how to measure the effectiveness of individual treatments. This chapter seeks to describe a workable clinical classification and to review various outcome measures that might be employed to determine the optimum therapeutic approach for this most confusing of conditions.
