The impact of EITI and the role of civil society in Africa in promoting and advancing transparency in the extractives sector

Over the past seven years, the PWYP coalition has grown considerably and is today a global network of over 350 civil society organisations which believe that transparency is an essential step for the management of revenue from petroleum, mining and gas industries. The campaign is firmly rooted in Africa, where it is an important platform for dialogue and discussions on issues of transparency.
