ABSTRACT
When we were conceptualising this book, we thought it might be interesting for one of the chapters to focus on a younger child, not yet attending the Pen Green Nursery, but attending another service at the Centre. Therefore, this chapter is in two sections, and focuses on a little boy, Ethan. In the first section of the chapter, Ethan is two years and four months old. The author follows Ethan’s schematic explorations over several weeks whilst he attends a parent and child group at Pen Green, called Growing Together. The second section of the chapter revisits Ethan more than a year later, once he has started attending the Pen Green Nursery. He is then three years and five months old.
