ABSTRACT
Public health practitioners working on health policy can be based in a range of different settings, including civil service and governmental organisations. Those aiming to influence policy-making are often employed by the third sector – that is, organizations that are not-for-profit and non-governmental lobbying groups (in contrast to the private and public sectors) – and some policy analysts work within academic institutions.
