ABSTRACT
Considerable damage to persons and property may arise from future climate change-related events. The focus of this chapter, given the wealth of information the City of Cape Town has access to in predicting sea level and extreme weather events, is the potential liability of the City for its actions or omissions that may contribute to such damage.
