New dimensions of teacher education on the inclusivity of school guidance for regular schools in Hong Kong

Under the ethos of inclusive education, in western countries such as the UK and the US students with SEN have the right to be educated in regular schools (Cigman, 2007). Hong Kong schools, like elsewhere, are searching for ways to put such an ethos into practice. At the same time teachers have been concerned about the growing number of students with SEN enrolled in regular schools and how these students can be supported effectively and included in the caring system of school guidance (Education Department, 2002; Forlin, 2010).
