Teacher education for inclusion: A research agenda for the future

The Global Round Table on Future Directions for Teacher Education for Inclusion, held in Hong Kong in December 2010, provided an opportunity for colleagues in many parts of the world to come together to discuss the challenges and opportunities involved in ensuring that all teachers are prepared for inclusive education. This chapter provides a synthesis of the ideas that were discussed during the meeting and charts a course for researching this important and emerging area of teacher education and teacher professional development.
