Value Rhetoric and Cost Reality

All successful species have evolved. They adapt to changes in their environment and take advantage of the opportunities presented. Homo sapiens is no exception. From our early beginnings we have changed our behaviors, hunter-gatherers migrated with their prey, the hunter-gatherers then became farmers and the early farmers founded settlements that became mighty ancient civilizations. We traded, invented commerce, developed new economic models, founded corporations and ultimately developed the modern offi ce. Innovation has been at the forefront of adaption to our environment; it is the mechanism for driving change and improving the way we do things, making us more effi cient and eff ective.
