Clinical and Actuarial Approaches to Interpretation Although specific detailed approaches to interpretation of MMPI-2 profiles are discussed in subsequent sections, it is first necessary to have a basic understanding of actuarial and clinical approaches to the interpretation of tests such as the MMPI-2. Misunderstanding the differences in these two approaches can lead a professional to make clinical errors.
