ABSTRACT
The ideas and practices that we know as hospitality lie at the core of cultural tourism and the aim here is to suggest how we might define the term. Additionally, given the nature of this book, the chapter also follows the theme of hospitality by accompanying a cultural tourist into several art galleries to discover what he or she might learn about hospitality from some familiar paintings.
