Scuba diving satisfaction
The concept of tourism sustainability was initially established because of the need to account for the interrelationships between tourism and the environment (Farsari and Prastacos 2000). Sustainable development became the buzzword, out of concern for conservation and the preservation of natural resources (Choi and Sirakaya 2006). The sustainability concept in relation to tourists’ activity requires balance in the management of the types and frequency of activity in the marine environment. If this is done, the activity can be carried out in the area without compromising environmental quality (Vinals et al. 2003:82).
