ABSTRACT

This chapter spells out an agenda for HRD in addressing issues of spirit on organizations. It recognizes the confusion that spirit causes, with people associating it with religion, but makes a case for spirit which can embrace the secular. It also examines disspiritedness as a contrasting phenomenon which helps to throw light on what spirit might mean. It ends by setting an agenda for learners, helpers, teachers in HE and leaders in organizations for cultivating spirit in organizations.
