ABSTRACT
Group-analytic psychotherapy offers an environment in which developmental processes can be renegotiated with an awareness of the changing boundaries between feminine and masculine. The maternally evocative environment of the group inevitably reflects the social environment through the input of the group members. We shall see how the group conductor’s task is to be aware of these social resonances and to incorporate them into an understanding of the unconscious processes of the group.
