ABSTRACT
I think it is; the language of the image is in a way more universal than writing or even the spoken word per se. In Morocco, as in all Arab countries, the language spoken is different from the written one, which remains static with reference to the Koran and the [linguistic/cultural] unity of Arab nations. For example, an uneducated person may not be able to understand political speeches, given in literary Arabic but grasps the images that could accompany them.
