ABSTRACT
I kind of blame my husband for it. But he was also responsible for beginning the relationship so maybe it comes out even. Dick and Sally live in Texas and had been friends with us for over 25 years. Over the years, they visited us in Michigan and we visited them. The most recent visit to Texas did not go well. Sally is a control freak and that bothers my husband. My husband wanted to borrow their car; they said no. Then a day later there was a disagreement about what to do that day and my husband blew up. He criticized Sally and was rude. I felt like he overreacted because he wasn't allowed to be in control. It calmed down. We stayed the rest of the visit and we thought it had been ironed out. But after that, they never answered our letters or returned our phone calls no matter how much my husband tried to fix the situation.
