ABSTRACT
This chapter is empirical rather than theoretical, since I am still engaged in the work I describe, though not these actual cases. It is based on the clinical material and my understanding of it, of children referred for art therapy from the Children’s Intestinal Motility Clinic, which is a specialist clinic for children with bowel disorders, within the Department of Paediatrics in a teaching hospital.
